This development offers creative solutions to urban dwellings in smaller municipalities in Kenya. Care has been taken into incorporate all the major environment design principles, including day lighting, rain water harvesting and conservation, ground water runoff and recharge and thermal comfort. The densities explored here enable privacy, views, adequate open spaces for recreation and children play areas.

Parking areas are covered with green screens and the rest of the compound is landscaped. Existing big indigenous trees in the compound have been conserved. The look was to introduce colour and confidence while reconciling this with the modest cost of construction for the apartments – affordability was also a key consideration.
